We're not wine snobs at The Fieldhead. We serve quality wine that also represents value for money. A mix of traditional French and New World wines provide the perfect accompaniment for any meal.

    BORDEAUX    
1 C Chateau Haut Roudier 2004 £19.00
A good honest claret from a reliable property located in the commune of Maransin, north of Libourne. The blend which is 80% Merlot and 20% cabernet sauvignon, ensures a soft, easy-easy drinking style the can be appreciated young.
2 C Château Bordeneuve 2004/5 £21.00
This good-value wine comes from the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers region, has deep colour, red fruits on the nose and palate and a lovely, soft, rounded finish.
    BEAUJOLAIS    
3 B Beaujolais-Villages Château du Carré, Pascal Clément 2005/6 £22.00
Château du Carré is situated in the village of Saint Julien en Beaujolais. This estate bottled Beaujolais shows the classic strawberry and raspberry fruit character: typical of the Gamay grape variety.

A high quality, light bodied and very robust wine made in the heart of the Cote d'Or. Classic, fresh strawberry aroma and velvety tannins.

An easy drinking medium-bodied red from the sunny Rhone Valley. The wine has a ripe fruit taste with a hint of pepper reflecting the warm climate and traditional Rhone grape varieties.

Ripened to perfection in the warm sunny climate of the North Central Valley and matured in oak to allow the wine to soften

A traditional style of red Rioja very much in Bodegas Corral style matured for a minimum of two years in oak and one in bottle before sale.
    SOUTH AFRICA    
9 C Cullinan View Pinotage, Robertson 2005/6 £19.50
This dry red wine is rich, full and spicy with a smoky character. It has good levels of fruit aromas and flavour, made with South Africa's own grape variety.
    AUSTRALIA    
10 C Penfolds Private Bin, Shiraz-Cabernet Sauvignon 2004/5 £24.00
The blend of 70% Shiraz and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for 14 months in used oak barrels. Rich, fleshy, berry fruit style. 'Red Wine of the Year 2001

The bone dry white burgundy from Chablis's most famous house. A high quality wine with classic Chablis flintiness and no oak ageing.

All our spirits: whiskies, gin, vodka, rum, brandies and liqueurs are sold in multiples of 35mls and priced accordingly. Some properties refer to these as "House Doubles". Aperitifs and Ports are sold by the 50ml measure.
